Our 7-layer weighted blanket / gravity blanket contains small glass beads with a diameter of about 1mm. The small glass beads are not noticeable to you as they are wrapped in polyester fibers, thereby avoiding any noise disturbance from the beads. The size and distribution of the small micro glass beads ensure that the blanket falls closely and heavily around the body.
What is it?
A gravity blanket is a blanket with a heavier filling. The extra weight gives your body a comfortable and relaxing hug that a blanket provides when you lie down to rest. The enveloping effect of gravity creates pressure on the skin, and this comfort stimulates deep skin receptors and signals our hormonal system to produce and release feel-good hormones such as melatonin, serotonin, and oxytocin, while reducing the body's own cortisol, the main stress hormone.
If you are considering purchasing a weighted blanket / gravity blanket, we recommend looking for a blanket that wraps optimally around the body. Therefore, it can often be beneficial if the blanket consists of small movable beads/balls that allow the blanket to conform around the body and follow it with every movement.

Who can use the blanket

We recommend choosing a blanket that is approximately 10% of your body weight, i.e., this blanket is 7 kg. Recommended for a body weight of around 70 kg.
The blanket is not suitable for small children, individuals with low body weight, and pregnant women.
Maintenance
The weight of the blanket cannot withstand machine washing or a trip to the dryer, so it is always recommended to use duvet covers. It should be aired and brushed (do not shake or vacuum).
